Youth Off-Season Training

  • 6 Weeks
  • 122 Steps

About

It’s never too early to start training your young ballplayer like an elite prospect this offseason. Designed specifically for 10U–14U athletes, this six-week online program takes the same training principles CHIPS uses with high school, college, and professional players and tailors them to developing ballplayers. Through 122 guided steps, your athlete will learn a complete training routine featuring dynamic warmups, mobility exercises, arm care, medicine-ball training, plyometrics, and strength and conditioning. Every exercise is demonstrated on video, making it easy to understand exactly what to do and how to do it correctly. The goal is simple: help your ballplayer move better, become more explosive, build strength and durability, and arrive next season better prepared to throw harder, drive the ball farther, make more plays, and have more fun competing. This program was designed by Alex Hale—a former Division I two-way player, two-time MLB Draft pick, and one of the country’s leading player-development coaches. It’s elite-level training, built specifically for young players and available wherever they train.

Seth Claybourne

Director of Pitching

Seth Claybourne is a CHIPS Performance pitching trainer who brings multi‑level college experience and a calm, detail‑driven coaching style to the building. A right‑handed pitcher from Omaha, Seth pitched at Millard West before joining Southeast Community College, the University of Dayton, and Concordia University, giving him a deep understanding of pitching development across all levels.

Seth’s playing career was defined by elite strikeout ability, command, and high‑leverage consistency. At Southeast CC, he posted a 13.26 K/9, a 7–1 record, and a 1.461 ERA, walking only 2 hitters in 38.1 innings. At Dayton, he delivered 17 relief appearances with a 1.829 ERA, and at Concordia he held opponents to a .237 average, including an 8.1‑inning scoreless outing against Indiana Wesleyan.

Inside CHIPS, Seth helps pitchers understand movement patterns, sequencing, and game‑speed decision‑making. He teaches athletes how to attack hitters, manage pressure, and build repeatable mechanics.
